Tellina has been dancing in some form or another her entire life. She was first turned on to salsa in her hometown of Houston, Texas back in 1999. Her true training came about when she moved to California in 2000. She briefly trained with The Latin Symbolics, then joined Mambo Romero Dance Company in 2002. After performing as a principal dancer, traveling and teaching with the company for 3 years, she decided to collaborate with her old Mambo Romero dance partner, Jaycee Labio. She is currently the Co-director of Afinkao, as well as the current Co-director of Mambo Romero's training team.
